Annunciation Austin is looking for their next Director of Education to lead a unique model of education for K-12 students based on a Catholic, classically-influenced curriculum within a supportive, faith-filled community.

This university-inspired model involves classes that meet two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and homeschool lessons provided by professional teachers for parents to lead three days per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). Classes meet on the campus of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Northwest Austin. Currently, the enrollment consists of sixty-one students (twenty-nine families) in seven classes. The community is looking for an inspirational leader who is a practicing Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church and an experienced educator who is familiar with the particulars of homeschooling.

The Director of Education (DOE) will lead the staff, drive the curriculum, consult with school families, maintain school records, serve on the school’s executive committee, and be Annunciation Austin’s liaison to outside organizations.

The DOE position is an independent contractor position. Candidates must not be in conflict or have issues that would prevent contracting according to the Schoenstatt Movement of Austin, the Schoenstatt Fathers of the US, the Diocese of Austin, etc. The DOE must maintain updated EIM compliance according to the Austin Diocese. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years educational experience. Experience with homeschooling is a plus.
